The Lending Group is an online lending marketplace, not a lender. This policy explains what information we collect when you use thelending.group, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

Information you give us: name, email, phone, address, date of birth, income, employment, housing and loan details, and for some products the last digits or full Social Security number needed to check offers.

Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, the page or site that referred you, and campaign tags in the link you used. We use cookies and similar tools for this.

How we use it

To match you with lenders and lending partners and show you offers.
To verify your identity and protect against fraud, including checking IP and phone quality.
To contact you about your request, as you consent to on the application.
To understand and improve how our site is used.
To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Who we share it with

When you submit an application, we share your information with lenders and lending partners in our network so they can review your request and present offers. For home equity requests, if you agree on the application, information may also be shared with third-party marketing partners.

We also share information with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, analytics, fraud prevention), and when required by law. We do not sell your information outside of the matching you request.

Credit checks

Checking offers uses a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. A lender may run a hard inquiry only if you choose an offer and continue with that lender. See our Credit Authorization.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Ask us to access, correct or delete your information, subject to legal limits.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Security and retention

Applications are sent over encrypted connections. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements.

Children

Our services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
