Credit Card Payoff Calculator
Calculate payoff time, total interest, and the payment for your target term.
Plan your credit card payoff
A fixed monthly payment and a target payoff term
Methodology and assumptions
Each month, interest = remaining balance × APR/1,200, then the fixed payment reduces the amount due. The final payment is reduced to the remaining balance plus that month’s interest. If your payment does not cover interest, or payoff exceeds 100 years, no finite payoff estimate is displayed. The target-term payment uses the standard amortization formula. No new purchases, fees, or APR changes are assumed. Real cards often accrue daily interest and require issuer-specific minimum payments, so statement figures can differ.
Example: a $1,000 balance at 0% paid at $300 per month takes four payments; the last payment is $100 and interest is $0.
For example only. Figures are illustrative and do not represent an offer of credit. Actual APR, terms, fees, and monthly payments come from our lending partners after a soft-pull rate check, and depend on your credit profile, income, loan amount, term, and state of residence.
